Scoliosis is a sideways curve of the spine and is most often diagnosed in adolescent years. The cause of scoliosis in most children is unknown. Most cases are mild, but some curves worsen as children grow. Therefore, it’s important to get it checked as early as possible.
Scoliosis can cause rotation of vertebra, rib humping, rib pain, difficulty breathing, and muscle imbalances.
