George grew up in New Zealand where, like most New Zealanders was heavily involved in the outdoors and sports. There he enjoyed white water kayaking, snow skiing, water skiing, diving, free diving, fishing, hiking, rugby, canoe polo, surfing and exploring the everything the New Zealand outdoors had to offer.



Joseph James Coletta
Chiropractor & Co-founder

Joseph was born and raised in Southern California, U.S.A. His first experience with chiropractic began as a child playing hockey with multiple back injuries. Treatment by his local chiropractor allowed Joseph to stay active throughout his youth and into adulthood.



Matthew Wheatcroft

Matthew grew up in New Zealand and began playing sports from a young age. Through his pursuit of becoming a professional cyclist, Matthew discovered chiropractic care while seeking treatment for a persistent injury. After months of rehabilitation and countless specialists, he stumbled across chiropractic as a last resort for treatment. The results were profound. Not only was he able to ride injury free, but he won a national title two days later.



Shae Chapman

Shae has had a fairly mobile upbringing, having lived in England, Ireland and Texas before completing high school in Australia. Like most chiropractors, she was pretty active as a kid and between the chiropractor who helped her knee pain through school and got her back to running, and her family friend who always encouraged and supported her interested in chiropractic, she eventually ended up studying at the AECC University College in Bournemouth, UK. Shae is experienced in treating pregnant women and providing for advice during the prenatal phase in terms of chiropractic care.

Charlotte Hildreth

Charlotte comes from Dunedin, a small city in the South Island of New Zealand. She has many passions and things that she loves, including art, yoga, being outdoors, traveling, spending time at the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.

She was 12 years old when she decided she wanted to be a chiropractor. She feels blessed to have been born into a chiropractic family where they all got checked regularly. Being born into such a family allowed her chiropractic journey to begin since her birth.

Troy Mansfield

Troy grew up in Auckland, New Zealand. He is an avid sports fan and grew up playing every sport he could. He has a large passion for field hockey. He plays competitively and this is one of the main reasons he made the move to the Netherlands seeing the field hockey culture here.
He has always been interested in the human body and helping people. This is where he
discovered chiropractic and decided to study at the renowned New Zealand College of Chiropractic.

He loves to help everybody to get the most out of their lives and especially likes to treat athletes for them to truly compete at their best.

He is looking forward to exploring the Netherlands and Europe and enjoying what it has to offer.

Andrew Lee

Andrew was born in Hong Kong and grew up in the United States. In 2008 he obtained his Bachelor of Science diploma. In 2010 he obtained Doctor of Chiropractic at the Cleveland Chiropractic College. He did part of his internship at the Cleveland Chiropractic College, University of Southern California as well as the Venice Family Health Center. The Venice Family Health Center is one of the largest wellness centers in Southern California.

He is happy to have been able to help many people from varying age, from pediatric to geriatric while practicing in the States and later in Germany. He has now brought his vast experience to the help the Dutch communities reach their health goals. 

Nadia Cloete

Nadia was born and raised on the east coast of South Africa and has lived in New Zealand, Namibia and now the Netherlands. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.  She then went on to study Chiropractic in South Africa at the Durban University of Technology and the University of Johannesburg. She graduated with a Master’s in Chiropractic in 2010.

Her background in Pharmacology led to successful careers within the Pharmaceutical industry but her passion is in Chiropractic. That passion is what led to Nadia partnering with her husband to open practices in Swakopmund, Namibia and Cape Town, South Africa. She has worked as an Associate Chiropractor in the Netherlands since the beginning of 2019.

She is a family chiropractor and is currently enrolled in a Post graduate Pediatric program to expand her vast knowledge and expertise even further.

In her free time, Nadia can be found hiking or mountain biking with her husband and three children in the forest.


Ludovica Distefano

Ludovica was born and raised in Rome, Italy. Having a surgeon as her mother, she has shown an interest in how the human body works since she was little and wanted to build a successful career in the healthcare sector. She has always aspired to play a role in improving people’s quality of life as well as helping them to lead a healthier lifestyle.

With her brother also being a chiropractor, she was exposed early on to the values of this profession and has appreciated the positive impact it has on people and on herself.


Matthew Carstens

Matthew was born and raised in sunny South Africa, he enjoys physical activity, the outdoors, and all things sports. Matthew is an enthusiastic and hard-working practitioner with a keen interest in postural correction and Sports Chiropractic.


He received his Chiropractic degree in 2018 from the accomplished Chiropractic School at the University of Johannesburg. With a long history of education together with his MTech(chiro), Matthew also holds a Bachelor of Science degree (hons) in Human Physiology from the University of Witwatersrand.


Matthew excelled during his decade of studies receiving multiple distinctions. He focused his thesis on postural correction, which he believes is a modern-day problem.


His client-specific approach to treatment lays testament to his ideals of, “everyone is different and need a specific approach to best treat them”.

Nicole Wagener

Nicole was born and raised in the Lion King country (South Africa) ;).  She studied chiropractic at the University of Johannesburg in SA for 6 years and graduated Cum Laude with her research thesis and was also awarded Best Achiever at the end of her studies.  She has always had a passion for chiropractic and the affect it has on people’s lives and way in which it changes their lives ultimately for the better. She came to the Netherlands in the beginning of 2019 and has worked in the Netherlands as a chiropractor ever since. Nicole understands and speaks Dutch very well all thanks to her first language being Afrikaans. She has become very familiar with the Dutch culture and loves it here in the Netherlands. 

Walter Justin Jubber
Clinical Chiropractic Specialist

Walter is originally from South Africa and came to the Netherlands with his fiancé to build a life in the land of tulips. After completing his university study, he was awarded with his master’s degree in Homeopathy. In Rotterdam you’ll mainly get to know him as the Clinical Chiropractic Specialist. He also offer the Front Desk Team additional support when needed.

Walter wholeheartedly believes in a holistic approach, which means to see all aspects in a person: their emotional, physical, and mental aspects. He also has a big love for volunteering and used to volunteer at the non-profit organization Khula Natural Health Centre in rural Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. During his free time, Walter enjoys staying fit and healthy, doing photography, and reading.


Lesley Rombley

Lesley was born and raised in Rotterdam. After high school she followed a tourist education. After graduation she continued work at her internship address. Lesley quickly realized the tourism industry was not her calling. As a result, she has done research into what fits her and where her interests lie. Two crucial points in searching for a suitable education motivated her: working with people and helping those in need.



Jennifer Coletta
General Manager

Jennifer was born and raised in Southern California. She moved to The Netherlands with her husband, Joseph Coletta, in 2014 and works as the General Manager at Chiropractie Centraal. Before working for the company, Jennifer was a healthcare administrator in California. When she moved abroad, she worked as a virtual administrator for businesses in the United States from her home in The Hague. She specializes in healthcare and small business administration, blogging, and website development. She enjoys working with clients to enhance their wellness. When she’s not working, Jennifer enjoys cooking, writing, and spending time with her family.

Don Chatham
Practice Manager

Originally from Southern California, Don relocated to The Netherlands from New York City. Don first became introduced to Chiropractic to help relieve stress and manage body pain from the busy and demanding lifestyle he had in NYC. Before moving to The Netherlands, Don worked in corporate hotel management for several years in both New York City and Los Angeles. Don now currently resides in Breukelen and shares his knowledge of administration, hospitality and chiropractic to help improve the experience of clients at Chiropractie Centraal. Don enjoys exploring his new home country, improving his Dutch, travel, cooking and the arts.

Diana de Visser
Office Supervisor

Diana was born and raised in Rotterdam. She studied Hospitality and Entertainment and following her graduation immediately started working in the service sector (Horeca).
She has extensive experience in the service sector working as a manager in hotels, as well as special events.
Diana is very service minded and enjoys the contact with clients. In her free time, Diana enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Renata Botis
Front Desk Administrator

Renata was born in Romania and moved to the Netherlands when she was 13 years old.
She is currently studying to be and Interaction Designer and works with us part-time at the front desk.
Renata loves to interact with our clients and assist wherever she can.
Her upbeat positive energy is infectious and she always greets our clients with a genuine, bright smile.
In her spare time Renata enjoys gaming, good food, and travelling.

Christa de Ridder
Chiropractic Assistant

Christa was born in Scheveningen but has lived in Emmeloord for the past 36 years. When her (now adult) children went to middle school and high school, she decided it was time to join the workforce again and worked at various places before accepting a new challenge at Chiropractie Centraal. In her free time, Christa is rather active with sport and enjoys good music, animals, and everything and anything that lives.

She also really enjoys going on vacation to discover new places or to explore a restaurant or a concert a bit closer to home. Christa loves to be with and around people and is genuinely interested in what moves them. You’ll mainly find Christa at our Emmeloord practice.

Shermaine Soerdjpal
Front Desk Administrator

Shermaine was born and raised in The Hague. Currently she is close to obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Management. During the course of her study she spent a semester in Fort Collins, CO, USA were she studied finance at the Colorado State University. This was a once in a lifetime experience for her and allowed her to make lifelong friends, gain new experiences and knowledge along the way.


Monika Meijer
Front Desk Administrator

Monika is originally from Budapest, Hungary and moved to the Netherlands 10 years ago. She comes from a medical family, so she has always been interested in caring for others and treating clients. Her familial background in healthcare is also the reason why she changed to that sector after a career in hospitality.


Monika has a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, which made a big impact on her and changed her perspective when it comes to nature and the environment. She loves spending quality time with her family, gardening or supporting the Hungarian water polo team. Monika is a foody, who loves to cook and bake as well as expanding her palate with new cuisines. She does have a very soft spot and high appreciation for her grandmother’s duck.

James Lokas
Technical Specialist

James is originally from Norway but grew up in the Netherlands. After building up quite a varied career in the Netherlands from working at the non-profit The Ocean Cleanup to being the Office Manager at a chiropractic office, he decided to embark on a new adventure. He moved to Aruba with his dog George where he worked as a volunteer for the national Sustainability Development Goals Commission Aruba. After that he worked in quality assurance at the University of Aruba. He’s been back in The Netherlands since October 2019 and joined Chiropractie Centraal, where he is seeing how he can best utilize his experiences. Besides his clear passion for his dog and traveling, he holds the well-being of humans, animals and the environment dearly.

Leen Beets

Leen was born in Herk-de-stad, Belgium, but grew up in Auckland, New Zealand where she graduated with a bachelors degree in design from AUT. After completing university, she worked in Singapore for 3 years as an interior designer before returning to Europe in 2016. After a short year in Antwerp working as a kitchen designer for bulthaup, she relocated to The Netherlands and began working at Chiropractie Centraal with her fiancée, George Ellis. Leen now designs and project manages the interiors for our clinics, as well as the inhouse graphic design. In her spare time, Leen enjoys photography, design, and discovering new places.
