Shae heeft als kind veel gereisd, nadat zij in Engeland, Ierland en Texas heeft gewoond heeft ze de middelbare school in Australië afgerond. Zoals de meeste chiropractoren was ze behoorlijk actief als kind. Tijdens haar jeugd hielp een chiropractor haar met haar kniepijn waardoor ze weer kon hardlopen. Deze ervaring en de steun en aanmoediging van een goede familievriend besloot ze om chiropractor te worden. Shae studeerde af als Master of Chiropractic met hoogste onderscheiding aan de AECC University College in Bournemouth, Verenigd Koninkrijk. Na haar studie werkte in het Verenigd Koninkrijk voordat ze naar Nederland verhuisde.
